The event season generally covers May through to September, occasionally there may be events organised outside of these months. The winter season is the time for kit repairs and relaxation, but we don't lose touch with each other because we have regular drill meets.
Why have drill meets ?
~ Keep in touch with everyone in the unit
~ Plan for next season's events
~ Keeping up our soldiering skills (it's surprising how rusty you can get)
~ Continuing to enjoy our hobby
~ Training and development of skills and knowledge
~ Keeping musket proficiency and field safety accreditation up to date (annual test)
How often ?
Winter drill sessions are usually the last Sunday of the month in November, March and April.
Where ?
Ragley Hall, Alcester, Warwickshire www.ragleyhall.com

Ragley is the Warwickshire home of the Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford and their family, who kindly allow us to use their estate for training purposes.
Robert Hooke designed Ragley in 1680 and James Gibbs designed the baroque plaster decoration in the Great Hall in 1750. In 1780 Wyatt added on the portico and re-decorated the Red Saloon and the two Mauve Rooms, which have remained the same ever since. The Estate covers some 6,500 acres which includes 1000 acres of woodland.
